hole in the roof. inside, workers cleaned up the mess on the factory floor. >> it was in the top of the roof. it brought down in the pipes. it opened. so a lot of water came down. >> most water damage from busted fire sprinkler system the owner of the factory says no one was injured when the roof collapsed. but it did damage equipment. the repair company told us they've been busy patching up leaks in homes and businesses. in danville, this tree blocked road up to the historic park site. one of the morning passes was unpassable all morning. another downed tree took out power. >> i think two hours. they got out here. i don't blame them. it's pouring down rain. there is no way, jose, boy have blamed them for not coming sooner. >> she discovered an outage.

no electricity meant it's chilly. she wore the sweater all day a cording to pg&e, 700 customers were without power because of storm damage. crews worked fast to fix the problem. one woman is now hoping the rain doesn't come at wednesday. >> storm left a mark in san francisco. drivers interstate 280 ignored warnings that were posted. it's now reopened after being covered in sand from the beach >> caltrans blames copper thieves. one crew called patrol to help people inside of the car stranded along a section of

highway 187. apparently someone stole the copper cable that delivers power to a pumping station. caltrans says this happens all the time. >> 2012 caltrans has to repair damage done by copper wiring thieves they hit everything. traffic lights... >> unbelievable problem. crews used portable pumps to remove rain water that will remain on stand by until equipment is repaired. now, to abc7 news reporter david louie in santa cruz mountains live. there has been flooding sure, but wind has been biggest problem right? iet has been. you're right. you know mountain towns tend to take the brunt of the sheer elevation. however, all day long, they've been dealing with runoff and flooding with fallen trees and some minor slides.

storms bring unexpected tree toppling over and landing in the middle of the road. crews had to cut up the pines so traffic can use the road near the town of davenport. >> i didn't hear about the power outages very small areas. nothing major. but we didn't get winds forecast, either. yet. >> pg&e crews fanned out to be ready as fallen trees or high winds did rip down lines heavy rain created a demand for sandbags a dump truck arrived with a welcome load. >> my garage is flooded so yeah. trying to keep it from really taking over. >> you know this kind of rain is due sooner or later. >> it's great. don't get me wrong. it's absolutely great. >> the mountains experienced strong wind gusts.

pole last night. witnesses say the driver lost control of the truck before hitting the pole, 1200 customers lost power and pg&e says it could be midnight where before the power is restored >> southern california hit harder than we have by the storm. it's beginning to drugger mudslides. here, you can see the mud slipping into backyards in january. just bone dry. reporter from our sister station in l.a. is in the city of glendora with a live update. >> reporter: good news is that rain stopped for new, but more is still in the forecast this, is the focus here. this is the mud flow. a little while ago, waits roaring. so much debris that is left behind here, including pieces like this that are going up and down the street.

officer. police got a 911 call earlier in the day saying there was a man with a knife on campus. they found lopez block as way. the coroner determined that the 38-year-old man died from two gunshot wounds to the back. >> how is that? they were afraid for their lives? he was walking away. i don't understand. shooting him in the back? come on. >> valdez says her partner only spoke a little english. if a police command were given he probably won't understand. what is more, he was an undocumented immigrant. >> he would never challenge the law because he won't want to risk himself getting deported and never seeing his son again. >> she says lopez, who did gardening and odd jobs collected recyclables. she thinks he cutoff the saw on his walk. >> he didn't think twice about walking through campus witness oochl valdez says his body will

be sent to mexico for a funeral there. >> four of the six san francisco police officers indicted on corruption charges pleaded not guilty today in court. sargeant ian farminger faces six charges. officers roebls and yick face similar charges they were allegedly caught taking money, drugs and electronics from residential hotels one lawyer says he plans to challenge the evidence, which is at the heart of the government's case. >> the federal government doesn't want to ever concede that maybe they made a mistake and relied on evidence that isn't going to stand up. >> the attorney says the officers will not look for a plea bargain ask will insist on a trial. >> four men arrested today in connection with a murder of a 16-year-old fairfield girl. also booked today on murder and

front that passed through today that intense low pressure system off shore with stormy weather. focusing south ward just a bit there is a flash flood watch in effect until morning for a wide area againing in monterey bay and moving south ward several more inches of rain there. and high surf advisory in effect until 8:00 this evening. and looking ahead, rainfall totals, on top of what we've had is another inch of rain possible in south bay mountains a winter weather advisory in effect for tahoe area.

a woman who blames post traumatic stress disorder for a attack on a musician, jumping on to a hayward stage in july and began pushing and hitting lester chambers. the 73-year-old chambers had just dedicated a song to vavon martin. she's expected to get five years felony probation in april.

>> police busted a large pot-growing operation out of three homes in milpitas. just how expensive this was you can see plants there lined up underneath grow lights police seized 2,000 plants located inside of the homes. this plant has a street value of more than $2 million. two people were arrested. police say they were stealing electricity to light the operation. >> there won't be any advanced placement testing this may at a millbrae school that, high school that, got into trouble for the way it administered ap exams the college board decertified mills high school this week. last may, 224 students had test results invalidated because the school let students sit facing each other. the college board blamed the cost of the investigation for the decision. >> more still to come tonight on
